Bavarian Nordic Awarded New Procurement Framework Contract by the European Commission to Strengthen Preparedness Against Smallpox and Mpox

COPENHAGEN, Denmark, October 31, 2025 – Bavarian Nordic A/S (OMX: BAVA) announced today the award of a joint procurement contract by the European Commission, through the Health Emergency Preparedness and Response Authority (HERA), enabling the EU, its member states and additional European countries¹ to purchase up to 8 million doses of the Company’s MVA-BN^® smallpox/mpox vaccine.
